He is TWO!!

Yep. Garrison is two years old today.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. On one hand, I couldn't be any happier! He is so much fun and ...most of the time... has the sweetest little personality. I hope I remember him at this stage forever. But also, I am so sad that he is by no means a baby anymore...I mean, really he hasn't been for a while, but turning two really makes that official.

(One Day Old)

He is talking like crazy these days - anything he hears us say, usually comes right back out of his mouth! He repeats a lot of what he hears on Mickey Mouse too (like 'oh gosh' that Goofy & Mickey both say...a LOT...not terrible, but not something I really want my two year old saying all the time either!). He keeps us laughing, that's for sure.

He can count to 12, sometimes...only when he wants to of course. He will say the letters of the alphabet that rhyme with B (C, D, E, G, P, V, Z...sorta...he at least makes that sound on que!). He knows lots of shapes (circle, square, triange, oval). I get so amazed at how quick he can pick up things if you continuously work with him and make it fun.

He doesn't ever try to sing really - but tonight he picked up on 'Happy Birthday to you'!

He loves tractors, puzzles, books (when he will sit still long enough!), balls, & BALLOONS (favorite). His favorite shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse & Handy Manny (and Big Bird movies).

(One Year Old)

He cracks me up talking in full sentences - and he 'needs' everything...like 'Mommy, I need a cookie', 'Daddy, I need some juice'! So dramatic... He doesn't like to be by himself, so usually he's dragging one of us along with him to sit in the floor and play.

I love when he comes up to me, gives me a big hug, pats on my back and says 'luh ya too, Mama' (even without me telling him that I love him)! Nothing in the world melts my heart the way that does. Nothing.

I love my two year old, little boy.

and I do mean...he is ALL. BOY. And I love it!!

Daddy's Hat

Seriously, until last week when Garrison finally wore his hat in the snow, he had not worn a hat since he was an infant...he hated them...couldn't stand it...not even the precious Polo cap I got him last summer.

Then tonight, he randomly gets his Daddy's hat and thinks it's the greatest thing ever!

Guess you never know!

Mardi Gras Masquerade 2011

What a week!! Charity Ball is a ton of work, but worth it all.

This is the 3rd Charity Ball I've been a part of - and the first time we've ever stopped long enough to snap some pictures! So glad we did!

SNOW much fun!

Garrison LOVED the snow this time!! AND he actually wore a hat and gloves after I insisted he could not go out without it...after a little meltdown, he agreed and was perfectly content!!

Poor Lucy got hit with a snowball! ha!

Garrison and Lucy don't share too well sometimes....

Lucy just couldn't figure out how to escape the cold snow - I've NEVER seen her up on the picnic table before! Bless her...she is not a fan of snow...

VERY upset that his 4-wheeler doesn't work too well in 2+ inches of snow...

Eating cookies after playing in the snow on Wednesday night.

Thursday morning, Nathan stayed home with Garrison for a little while - they had fun playing in the 3+ inches of snow we ended up with!!

It sure was pretty!

And this week, the temps are in the 60's - We loved the snow, but bring on SPRING!!!

Sunday Morning Snapshots

These are from last Sunday morning, but worthy of posting even a week late!

The Garbage Truck

This little boy sure is fun!

This was a first though - he decided tonight that the perfect place to play with his garbage truck, was in his bed...actually, I think it was just something to do to distract his Mommy from putting him to bed. Guess he's pretty smart becuase it worked! :)

He even took it for a short ride!

Sweet Boy...such a mess!
