And MORE cow!

We had a great Saturday afternoon! Nathan, Garrison, and I went to spend some time in the country - nothing could be ANY better.
We started out walking around looking for 'deer' and 'turkey' but they didn't seem to come no matter how loud Garrison called for them - ha!

Garrison did spot an airplane flying over, which he got pretty excited about! Here he is giving it a big wave...
Playing with a corn stalk...
being a little outdoorsman!

THEN...
we went to see the cows!

And he was SO excited!

(he loved getting to drive Daddy's truck in the pasture too!)

wanting to get a little closer...

I wish we could find time to do that every weekend. It sure is fun and relaxing!

MoooOOOooo

Yep - our little man made for one pretty cute cow this Halloween! Just as long as he didn't have to have the hat on, he was content being all dressed up...

Garrison and his Daddy carved our pumpkin too - only Garrison didn't really like it so much...he thought the pumpkin was 'broke' after Nathan cut the top off!
He still prefered his little 'pumpin'...

With their finished product!

Playtime at Bedtime

Let's just say the ice cream Garrison had before his bath tonight still had him a little wired at bedtime! It sure was fun though...

Big Cheesy Grin!

Tonka Truck Time (by the way, his socks are in the truck as he is taking them to his Daddy to help him put them on!)

So, we finally got his socks on, then he started with his Daddy's shoes - he LOVES to play in them...

(having his tongue stuck out must help him balance...haha!!)

(Funny thing is, he was sound asleep within 20 minutes of me snapping these pictures)

Pumpins Pumpins!!

Oh my - how Garrison loves a pumpkin!! He gets so excited everytime we see one - at the grocery store, riding down the road, on our porch...wherever, he declares 'oooh pumpin'!! So, Saturday was really fun when we visited the pumpkin patch.

The best attempt at a group photo...
(left to right....Garrison, SaraBeth, Baylie, Greyson, Mallory)

Checking out all of them!

HEAVY pumpin!
(love it...)
He picked out the one he wanted...but then we agreed on a smaller one!

This is on the way back to the main area, after the kiddos picked their pumpkins. Praise the Lord for Lauren having some suckers!! Garrison had a loud, complete meltdown when we first got on the trailer to ride to the pumpkin patch area. I was somewhat prepared for it, because I knew he would REALLY want to see the tractor and REALLY thought he would get to ride on the tractor, not on the hay trailer behind it. It seemed like forever, but as soon as they cranked up the tractor - he quit screaming. He was fairly unhappy for a while, but had gotten over it by the time we made it to the fish pond! So, lesson learned...pack suckers if he isn't going to be able to ride the actual tractor!! :)
(Thanks, Lauren, for the sucker for the ride back!)

He had his sucker and a pumpin...happy boy!

Headed home...with two tired babies.
(Yes, Garrison is drinking my coke in this picture, but NO it is not a usual thing...As far as I know, this is only the second time he's EVER had coke...but he does like it!)

To explain WHY he was drinking my coke...

He was asking for 'mulk', well, we had plans to make a quick pit-stop at Dairy Queen on the way out of town to grab us moms a little ice cream, so the plan was to get Garrison some milk at Dairy Queen. WELL - can you believe that DAIRY Queen doesn't have milk??!! Crazy, right?? So, when they give me my cup, he is begging for 'MULK' so I gave him a sip while he had to wait. Thankfully Dairy Queen is next to a gas station that DOES sell milk, so he got his milk - and I got my much-needed coke back!

'Amuls' at the Memphis Zoo

Oh what fun! Saturday, my parents, sister, grandmother, me, and Nathan took Garrison to the Memphis Zoo to show Garrison all the 'amuls' (animals) - it looked kinda like he had his own paprazzi, but we all had fun!

So excited!

Running to see what is next -

Checking out the 'fisssh' with Papaw -

A serious look....he gets so serious when he is looking at new things -

This was too neat - the Panda bears were awake and eating bamboo. Garrison loved watching him - then discovered he had a ball in his cage and decided he really wanted the panda's ball! ha!

Rode the animal carousel with Papaw - again, he loved it, but so - so serious about it!

And my favorite - the giraffes!!

I love this pic - he was checking them out good!

The attempt at a family pic - he was SO not interested in the fact that I wanted a pic of us in front of the giraffes....it was time to move on to see what was next!!

Checking out the rhino -

Getting pretty tired...

Lookin' at the elephants -

He loved to wave 'bye' to the 'amuls'!

The bears were really playing and showing out!

The pic they took of our crew as we went in - great memories made!

What I missed...

Here's a glimpse of what I didn't post that I intended to over the past few weeks!

Baylie & Garrison watching some 'Melmo' on the way to Philadelphia to do a little shopping.
(TVs for cars is one of the best inventions EVER!!)

Looking all grown up....headed to Nathan's family get together - therefore, Nathan picked the outfit...which is why he looks so grown up. I still prefer the john-johns that help him stay looking like my baby boy!

Playing peek-a-boo...he thinks it's hillarious!

Follow The Leader: As Nathan was cutting grass / picking up pinestraw and leaves, Garrison followed him step for step! It was really too cute...he would say 'Lon Mo' (lawn mower)!
All that grass-cutting wore him out!

Greyson & Garrison had fun playing together this past weekend - Greyson taught Garrison how to jump...only Garrison didn't quite get it...he'd bend his knees and 'jump' but never left the ground! ha - he'll figure it out soon enough! (he practices a lot these days...thanks Greyson for the lesson on jumping!).

Worn. Out. from all the jumping!

And Sunday we went to visit Meme and had fun playing on Nandaddy's tractor. Reminded me a lot of this day when he rode it for the first time!

I really wanted a cute pic of him playing on the hay, but he wasn't too interested....

This was tonight - he is still obsessed with a 'de-a' (deer)....he was giving this one some love before bed time (he also got a hair cut today, if you can tell).
