A BIG FIRST!

I put this off as long as I possibly could!!! Garrison got his first haircut on Friday - he was 1 year, 1 month, and 3 days old. He did so good - just played with his Daddy and the yogurt melts and never even acknowledged Ms. Pam was even messing with him...

Don't worry, she didn't cut off all those curls...just trimmed them a little! :)

A first...

This past weekend, was pretty eventful for me! It was the first time I've spent the night away from Garrison!! I know, that may sound so ridiculous, but I just like for him to be home with us when we are there - and there really hasn't been any major reason to let him spend the night away! Nathan's cousin got married this weekend, so we spent the night in Jackson Saturday night. I made it fine, got a little sad at bedtime, but all-in-all it was fine! He obviously was perfectly fine with his Grammy & Papaw...I called to check a bunch of times, so I know this for sure! Ha! I have to start gradually working myself to get used to this, because I have a couple trips coming up in the next few months that will be 3 & 5 nights apart each trip!! Yikes!!

One Year Check-up

I took Garrison for his one year check-up this morning. He weighs 25.6 pounds and was 30.75 inches long! A growing boy for sure! He handled his shots better than in the past. We didn't use the numbing cream this time because it's usually so tramatic to pull off the band-aids...and he 'recovered from the trauma' much faster than before! We have the go-ahead to try any food suitable for a one year old, so we are excited to get to start trying some new foods! His Grammy says she's making him scrambled eggs for breakfast in the morning - we'll see how he likes that (I'm sure he'll love them as much as he is like his Daddy!).

Fun Weekend!

We had a fun weekend! Friday night we went to Sallis to the deer camp, Saturday we went to Winona, and Sunday we enjoyed being at home on such a pretty afternoon!

Garrison & Baylie were checking each other out pretty seriously.... Ha!
